Updated Update

Posted in Uncategorized at 9:54 pm by Perry

Hey all!  I have not updated this site in a long time because I have not had a steady internet connection since I started the ordeal of moving into the new house.  Since I last posted, Miriam and I have made our house into more of an actual home.  We have the blinds and curtains hung, furniture in place, and have customized certain parts.  It has been a surprising hassle to get everything in line with the gas, electric, phone line, internet, and everything else.  No one warned me about this when I mentioned I was going to be getting married.  Check out the following link for updated pictures of our place:

As of two days ago Miriam got a new job.  In the past she had been working at a day care because there is simply not many other options out where she lives (you know what I mean Janiece!).  Starting in the fall, she will be working as a contractor for Wright Patt’s research labatory doing mathematical research on the algorhythms of digitized night vision goggles.  I don’t even begin t claim to understand what she is going to be doing.  It is quite evident that she is the brains in this relationship.

Miriam is having her bridal shower this Saturday and I really hope that she gets some great stuff.  I know it sounds selfish but if we get even a quarter of the stuff we registered for it would be a huge help in turning our house into more of a home.  I am amazed at the vast number of "things" that I would never have thought we needed.  We also had out engagement pictures done last Sunday.  I will post those pictures as soon as I get a copy of them.  Surprisingly, it was kind of fun. After six years of dating, it was our first time having pictures done together.

I am still working at the doctor’s office as a medical assistant.  I am actually preparing to take the certification exam within the next few weeks.  To be honest, though, I just can’t wait until school starts up again.  I don’t know if the consecutive sixty-five hour work weeks have blurred my memories of finals weeks and nights before exams but it just seems like September 6th can’t come fast enough.  I think it is just something about the college experience of learning; I love it!  Now that I am moved into my new place I will try to keep this site updated more often. Until then, take care.

I definitely know about the limited jobs in our neck of the woods. :) Your first home together…. so exciting. I hope everything goes well with work and school as we start back up. It will be nice to do something besides work, work, work!
