Doctor To Be
I recieved my letter of decision from the School of Medicine regarding my acceptance into the class of 2008 and… I am going to medical school. I have a spot reserved and my foot is in the door. I have surpassed the biggest hurdle to becoming a physician; getting in to medical school. Only 3-5% of applicants ever get accepted to any medical program! Wow!!! Words can’t even express, they truly can’t. I think I am still in shock and I don’t know if it has, or ever will, fully set it.
I can’t use “I” or “me” too many times though because I truly believe that God has worked wonderfully through this situation. I shouldn’t even have been able to apply for this program and yet so many specific events occured and so many details fell into place and I must turn to God and say that this is not of my own doing. I have sacrified sweat and blood to get this far at the expense of crusade socials, friday nights, and other luxuries but that all would mean nothing if it wasn’t God’s will and I now realize that it must be.
